Scalp Problems

Problems of the scalp, ranging from dandruff to more inflammatory conditions, occupy much of a trichologist’s time. As with the hair, these problems can be symptomatic of some other metabolic variation. Stress, poor diet, or even some allergies to certain foods, can be responsible for the build up and shedding of dead skin cells.

The management of hair and scalp that are excessively greasy is another area in which the advice of a qualified trichologist is often sought. Here, guidance on the right type of shampoo for any particular individual, and on its frequency of use, might be particularly relevant.

  1. Hello,
My name is Laura and I’m 30 years old.
At the age of 20 I started having problems with my hair, I started loosing it and became very thin.
Went to the doctor that prescribed me hormones exams and the results showed an unbalanced level of hormones, so she decided to prescribe me the pill and the problem seemed to get better but as soon as I stopped it I’ve been having the same problem.
It is very frustrating for me and I don’t really know what to do.
If you could help me would be great.

    Kind regards
    Laura

  2. Dear Dr.

I have problem with my hair and is looking for doctor who can help me in this. Major problem that i am facing is white hairs, mostly on head but also on beard, chest etc. I am 31 years old and i think i am not that much old and i start getting white hairs everywhere.

Hair loss problem is also there but it is less severe as complete to white hairs. I have dry skin and a lot of dandruff. I have been using Clear Shampoo and now thinking to replace it but with what i don’t know 🙁

Can i have appointment with you and meet to discuss all these problems and then i can go for any required test. I know its very hard to stop this but looking for options to slow it down.

    Thanks,
    Ahmed
